The Preparatory Cycle of Works on Creation of the Passenger Helicopters' Testing Rig is Completed

On the 7th of December 2015, the preparatory cycle of works on creation of the passenger helicopters' testing rig was completed. The rig is designed for the testing of passenger helicopters with the take-off weight up to 4 tonnes. The helicopter's fuselage tests were performed in the period from the 9th and 11th of December.

The first “Horizontal landing with an overload” loading event was executed in accordance with the Program as required by the international Civil Helicopters Airworthiness Standards. Tests were performed successfully – the fuselage's structure withstood the maximum design load without damages. The rig is being converted for the next stage of loading in a different configuration (in total there are 7 of such different cases). The successful testing (which is scheduled for completion in January 2016) is one of the conditions for the certification of the helicopter.
